All the holiday drinks you love in a latte, including the new Starbucks Peppermint Mocha & Confetti Cookie Latte, are back!
What is it that gets you in the holiday spirit? It could be your favorite seasonal drinks returning, or it could be the return to Starbucks holiday favourites like the Peppermint Mocha or Toffee Nut Crumble Latte.
Starbucks’ Peppermint Mocha will now be available hot and iced starting Tuesday, November 2. The chocolatey coffee beverage features minty notes, whipped milk, and peppermint candy bits.
The Toffee Nut latte also makes an appearance, but now it comes with a Crunch. The crunchy topping to this espresso beverage includes toasted nuts and sweet nutty notes.
Both holiday drinks can be made in tall, grande , or venti sizes.
Starbucks also introduced Toffee Nut Crunch Cold brew. This cold brew is made with toffee nut flavoured foam and topped by toffee nut crunch.
Starbucks Confetti Cookie Latte has milk and toasted white chocolate syrup. With whipped cream and coloured Confetti, it’s a new Starbucks coffee. It’s available hot or cold as an iced coffee or frappuccino.
Starbucks has a few other holiday favourites, such as the Choco Chip Overload Cookie, Chocolate Crepe Cake and Chicken Fajita Roll.
New goodies include the Purple Yummy Cake (with chocolate peppermint doughnut), Matcha Cherry Cheesecake, Matcha Cherry Cheesecake, as well as the vegetarian-friendly Chocolate Cloud Cake. Enchilada and Shepherd’s Pie are also new.
All holiday pastries and drinks are available for order via delivery, take-out or dine in via the Starbucks app, GrabFood or foodpanda
This Could Be the Exact Date Starbucks’ Peppermint Mocha Returns In 2021
While calendar cycles were once dominated over by religious feasts or public holidays, Starbucks’ special drinks now guide how we view the year. Right now, we’re in Pumpkin Spice Latte season. But Peppermint Mocha season will soon be here. We are now in Pumpkin Spice Latte season, but Peppermint Mocha season is just around the corner.
This is speculation only. Starbucks has not released any official date or leaked any information from an anonymous source about the launch of Peppermint Mocha this year.
However, we are guessing — and judging from past launches of this holiday drink it seems reasonable that Starbucks will start promoting its Peppermint Mocha around November 1. This is because Starbucks’ holiday marketing campaigns often begin on November 1, year after year. Twitter started to share pictures of holiday-themed red cups from the company on November 1, 2014. Bustle reported the availability of the Peppermint Mocha on November 1, 2015. Starbucks issued a press statement on November 1, 2016 to announce that their holiday campaign had officially begun. Day of the Human reported the leakage date for the Peppermint Mocha on November 1, 2017.
Starbucks has delayed the release of holiday drinks a little more recently. They announced their launch in 2020 on November 5. The drinks were announced in a press release for 2019 on November 5. Business Insider reported in 2018 that the drink would be available on November 2.
If we take this data into consideration, November 1 is the likely day that you will start to expect the Peppermint Mocha. However, it’s worth waiting a week before the official launch.
Peppermint Mocha can be ordered all year
Many people want to know when they will be able to order the Peppermint Mocha. The good news is that you can order the Peppermint Mocha all year, unlike the Pumpkin Spice latte.
Fansided claims that you can order a Peppermint Mocha any time of the year, no matter if it’s November, July, or vice versa. The drink is not available outside of the holiday season, but Starbucks does. Starbucks’ official Twitter account even stated so: “Did You Know Peppermint Syrup is Available Year-round?” Ask your barista to make a cold foam with the peppermint syrup if you don’t have it. It takes just a few ingredients that Starbucks always has at hand: A few pumps peppermint syrup and a couple of pumps of melted dark chocolate. Also, you will need whipped cream. It would be custom ordered, so please tip your barista.
Another easy way to make your own Starbucks peppermint Mocha is using a good K-Cup from here for example and just add peppermint extract to it.
The chain also offers a DIY version of their Peppermint Mocha recipe that you can make at your home if you don’t want to go to Starbucks. The ingredients are the same, except that you need to either steam the milk over a stovetop or use an immersion blender. Combine the ingredients and garnish.
